ATIEL, the technical association of the European lubricants industry, will host its second Information Seminar in Brussels on 29 November 2012.
Based on positive feedback received after last year’s inaugural event, the Association will again organise a seminar in conjunction with its annual General Assembly meeting. Invited speakers for the seminar will discuss important business, legislative and technical developments affecting the lubricants industry.
There will also be a presentation on the newly edited version of the ATIEL Code of Practice, which will be officially launched during the seminar.
“The purpose of the Information Seminar is to engage with a broader cross-section of our membership, including not only member company representatives who are already involved in ATIEL activities, but also their technical and commercial managers,” says Peter Tjan, ATIEL president.
“Our guest speakers offer insights that can deepen our collective understanding of some of the key trends and issues impacting the lubricants industry, either now or in the future. The seminar provides a forum not only for raising awareness of the value and importance of the work ATIEL does on behalf of its members but also the role it has to play in addressing some of these emerging challenges.”
This year’s invited speakers will address a wide range of topics including global market trends, business prospects for the European automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers, the evolving role of major automotive parts suppliers, developments in mobility and challenges they present to powertrain development, and the implications of these trends for lubricants markets.
Confirmed guest speakers for the 2012 Information Seminar include:
