ATIEL, the industry association representing manufacturers and marketers in the European lubricants industry, welcomed Gazpromneft – Lubricants, one of the youngest companies in the industry, to its membership at the start of 2016.
Founded in 2007 as a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, the business today includes five manufacturing sites in Russia, Italy and Serbia with total blending capacity of 500,000 tons of lubricants and greases. It exports products to 50 countries through an international distribution network and has a European office based in Rome.
The company’s portfolio has over 500 products including Gazpromneft branded synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral oils for gasoline and diesel engines in cars and trucks.
Alexander Trukhan, Director General of Gazpromneft - Lubricants Ltd, says: “Membership of ATIEL is another step to ensure that our products meet the highest international standards.”
As part of its membership, Gazpromneft – Lubricants will take up representative positions on the ATIEL General Assembly and several of ATIEL's technical committees.
Through its members’ combined knowledge and experience, ATIEL develops scientifically sound responses to key technical, environmental and quality issues that benefit all stakeholders, manufacturers, end-users and the lubricants industry.
ATIEL’s technical committees and working groups help to establish guidelines, best practices and standards for lubricant development that promote the availability of superior quality products in the marketplace. Membership of ATIEL is open to lubricant companies with an official presence in Europe.
