ATIEL's third Technical Seminar a success
ATIEL held its third Technical Seminar for members on 9 June, hosted by Total Marketing & Services at its Solaize research centre, near Lyon, France.
During the event, delegates from the association’s 20 member companies were updated by ATIEL technical committee chairmen on the various activities of their committees over the past year. This included progress made on their work programmes covering future engine test needs, base oil interchange, quality surveys and HSE and regulatory issues.
External speakers also gave presentations on related topics, including Bernd Vahlensieck of ZF Friedrichshafen on future trends in driveline development, Simon Droste of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants on the results of their study into integrated fuels and vehicles roadmap to 2030+, Reinier van Es of Lloyd’s Register on the benefits of quality management, a presentation by CEPE director Janice Robinson, describing her association’s work on communication of safe use information for mixtures and Linda McAllister of Infineum, presenting her company’s assessment of base stock trends.
Delegates described the event as ‘very informative’ and ‘striking a good balance between internal and external speakers’.
ATIEL president, Peter Tjan, said: “We are delighted by the progress made by the various ATIEL Committees and the support that members have shown for the Seminar and their appreciation of the speakers and the presentations.”
